UR Murray

What is Murray? Murray is artists, Murray is athletes, Murray is music, Murray is theater, Murray is poets, Murray is academics. Murray is everyone coming together to form a community that supports one another. Each student at Murray receives the opportunity to choose to develop any of these skills and be accepted by whoever they're surrounded by. Our small campus and small town gives Murray students a unique opportunity to grow up with the same classmates, teammates, and friends. The community is bettered by the students who have a chance to grow together and lift up the community together.

Murray is a school that brings together individuals from different backgrounds and with different skills and talents. In the school, those with academic backgrounds mingle with those in music, theater, sports, or art programs. There is not the stereotypical compartmentalization of groups based on friend groups or abilities. Many students have the opportunity to be a part of more than one of these programs and are able to make connections within multiple groups or teams and by this there is feeling of togetherness and acceptance throughout the school. Each individual brings the ideas from many different backgrounds, circumstances, religions, lives, to create an environment of it own that is completely unique to Murray.
